Japan’s property market has data requirements unlike any other. Search is organised around railway lines and stations, ward-level geography, and commute time far more than raw location. Listings span rentals, used and new condos, houses, and land. If you are building for the Japanese market, your data source has to model those realities.
Happy Endpoint provides Japan property data through the SUUMO Japan Real Estate API.
SUUMO Japan Real Estate API
SUUMO is one of Japan’s largest property portals. The API covers:
- Rental and sale search across condos, houses, and land, plus a unified cross-type search engine
- Full listing details for rentals, buy/sell listings, and new-condo projects
- URL tools - resolve a SUUMO URL into structured detail, or parse it to extract codes without fetching
- Station and commute search - railway line and station master data, plus stations reachable within a time and transfer limit
- Geographic reference data - city, ward, address master, and postal-code lookup
- Nearby facilities - POI points in a bounding box returned as GeoJSON
- Agency profiles - real estate company and shop details by company code
All responses are structured JSON.
What you can build

Property search apps - power a Japan-focused rental or sale UI with ward and station filtering and full listing detail.
Map-based discovery - overlay listings and nearby facilities (schools, stations, shops) using the GeoJSON facility endpoint.
Market analytics - track rental and sale inventory by ward and station, and enrich internal databases with SUUMO listing attributes.
Coverage
Nationwide Japan coverage across prefectures, cities, and wards, including Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.
