The Middle East has a large, active used car market, and much of it trades online. In Saudi Arabia alone, buyers move between an online retailer like Syarah, a car portal like Motory and classifieds marketplaces like Haraj and OpenSooq. Each one sees a different slice of the market, so a useful picture of car prices and supply needs more than one source.
Happy Endpoint provides five car data APIs for the region. Each is a separate API on RapidAPI, and the same RapidAPI key works across all of them.
The five sources at a glance
| API | Markets | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Syarah API | Saudi Arabia | Online car retailer selling its own stock and partner dealer cars | Fixed prices, inspection reports with VIN, price guide, financing |
| Motory API | Saudi Arabia, Jordan | Car portal for used and new cars | Used cars with VIN and seller contacts, new car prices and comparison, dealers, offers |
| Haraj API | Saudi Arabia | The largest Saudi classifieds marketplace | Private sellers, wide used car supply, seller reviews |
| OpenSooq API | 20 markets, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq and Egypt | Classifieds marketplace across the Arab world | One API across many countries, sold listings, price insights |
| 4Sale API | Kuwait | Kuwait classifieds marketplace (Q84Sale) | Kuwait used cars, new cars and dealer profiles |
Market by market
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia has the most coverage, with four sources. They differ in who is selling:
- Syarah sells its own stock and partner dealer cars, so listings have a fixed price in SAR including VAT, a monthly instalment, full specifications and inspection reports. Its price guide gives the minimum, average and maximum price per trim and model year.
- Motory lists used cars with VIN and seller contacts, plus new car prices, model comparison, dealer offers and finance providers.
- Haraj is where most private sellers post. Search by keyword, city, car model year, trim, body style, mileage, condition and fuel, then read the full listing, the seller’s profile and buyer reviews.
- OpenSooq adds a second classifieds source, with make, model and trim facets, sold listings and a price summary per model.
Use Syarah and Motory for clean, structured prices, and Haraj and OpenSooq for the size of the private market.
Kuwait
The 4Sale API covers Q84Sale, a leading Kuwait classifieds marketplace, with used cars by category and district, new cars, seller inventory and business profiles, priced in Kuwaiti dinars. OpenSooq covers Kuwait as a second source.
Jordan
The Motory API covers Jordan as well as Saudi Arabia, and OpenSooq, which started in Jordan, covers it as a second source. Together they give dealer and private seller listings in JOD.
UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and the rest of the region
The OpenSooq API is the source for the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon and its other markets. Every market has its own currency, categories and facet ids, so fetch them for each country with /markets, /categories and /search-filters before searching.
What you can build
Used car price benchmarks - collect comparable listings for a make, model, year and mileage band from several sources, then check them against Syarah’s price guide and OpenSooq’s price summary.
Car valuation for lending, leasing and insurance - compare a quoted price with live listings, and use Syarah’s inspection reports to see how condition affects price.
Dealer and stock monitoring - follow a dealer’s or seller’s listings over time on Motory, Haraj, OpenSooq or 4Sale, and see which cars sell and how fast.
Cross-platform car search - build one search across Saudi sources so buyers can compare a retailer’s fixed price with private listings for the same car.
Market research - measure supply by make, model and city, track how prices move, and compare markets across the Gulf.
Combining the sources
- Match the car. Make, model and trim names differ between sites. Map each source’s catalog ids (
/makes,/modelsand/trimson Syarah,/makesand/modelson Motory, the category tree on Haraj and/search-filterson OpenSooq) to one list of your own. - Keep the currency. Prices come in SAR, KWD, JOD, AED and other local currencies. Store the currency with every record.
- Separate asking and selling prices. Classifieds show asking prices. Syarah shows its selling price. OpenSooq’s sold listings show the last asking price, not a confirmed sale price.
- Remove repeat posts. Private sellers often post the same car more than once. De-duplicate on seller, model, year and mileage before you count supply.
- Plan for Arabic. Haraj listings are mostly written in Arabic, and many OpenSooq listings are too. Use the structured fields for filtering, and keep the original text for display.
Getting started
Pick the source for your first market from the table above and subscribe on RapidAPI from its API page. Start with the catalog route (/makes on Syarah and Motory, /categories on Haraj and 4Sale, /markets on OpenSooq), then run a search for one model in one city before adding more filters.
