The Property24 API provides South African real estate data from Property24, the country’s largest property portal. It covers property for sale and to rent, new developments, estate agencies, area market trends and sold prices, with additional listings in Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
Search and data coverage
/locations finds provinces, cities, suburbs and named regions by name, and /location-children, /aliases and /suburbs walk the area tree with listing counts. /reference-data lists property types, price ladders and the prime rate. /search filters by location, price, rooms, size, type and features, with polygon and pasted-URL forms. /listing-details returns the description, photos, agents with phone numbers and show days, and /listings-by-ids refreshes up to 50 listings in one call.
Development routes search new developments and return unit plans with sizes and prices. Agency routes return branch details. /area-trends returns yearly registered sales with asking against sale prices, monthly stock and asking prices by bedrooms. Sold price routes browse recorded sales down to street and property level. /bond-calculation-data supplies home loan and purchase cost inputs, and the country routes cover the six other African markets.

Prices are in rand for South Africa and in local currency elsewhere, so store the currency with each record. Compare asking prices against the registered sales in /area-trends rather than against single sold records. Coverage outside South Africa is lighter, and agency and development routes for other countries focus on Kenya.
