The Trusted Shops API provides shop reviews and trustmark data from Trusted Shops, the European certification and review service for online shops. Look up a shop, check whether its certificate and buyer protection are active, and read its grades and verified customer reviews across 16 market sites, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland and the UK.
Search and data coverage
Start with /markets for the market codes, then browse /categories and /category-keywords to find the slugs shop search filters on. /search-shops searches by text, market, category or keyword with certificate and review filters. /company-shops lists every shop one company runs, /search-shops-by-url runs a pasted Trusted Shops list page, and /lookup-shops-by-domain finds the member shops registered for a website domain, including ended memberships.
/shop-profile returns company, contact, legal and certification details with an AI review summary. /shop-certificate and /shop-trust-signals report the certificate state, buyer-protection terms and Trusted Shops’ signed trust assessment. Ratings come from /shop-grades (7, 30, 90, 365-day and all-time), /shop-quality-indicators and /shop-reviews, which filters the last 12 months of reviews by stars and text. /reviewer-profile shows a reviewer’s history across shops.
What you can build
- Trustmark and certificate checks for online shops
- Review monitoring for your own shop or competitors
- Seller rating benchmarks by market and category
- Merchant due diligence from a website domain
Coverage and comparison tips
Grades and review counts change daily, so store the date you read them. Compare shops on the same grade window, such as 365 days, rather than mixing all-time and recent marks. A shop can run several market profiles under one company, so group by company_id when you count a merchant once.
Getting started
Start with /markets to discover the identifiers and filter values used by the routes above. Then test a focused request such as /search-shops?query=shoes&market=de and inspect its JSON response before adding more filters or pagination.
